What are the Causes of Infertility in Women?

Infertility in women is usually caused by problems with ovulation (the monthly release of an egg from the ovaries). 

Some problems stop the egg from being released completely, while others prevent the egg from being released in some cycles.

Ovulation problems can be a result of:

  • Myomas

  • Endometriosis

This can damage the ovaries or fallopian tubes, disrupt the chemical structure in the microenvironment, and  It may cause fertility problems. 

  • Pelvic Inflammatory Disease 

Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), It is an infection of the upper female genital tract, which includes the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. 

Usually from a sexually transmitted infectionis caused by. PID can damage the fallopian tubes, causing adhesions, making it nearly impossible for the egg to descend into the uterus. 

  • Sterilization 

Some women choose to be sterilized if they do not want to have more children.

This condition is rarely reversible; Even if the sterilization process is reversed, it will not always be possible for you to have children.

 

  • Medicines 

Side effects of some medications and types of medications can affect your fertility. These include: 

Long-term use or  ibuprofen or aspirinHigh doses of NSAIDs such as  can make it more difficult to get pregnant 

Sometimes it can cause ovarian failure, which means your ovaries can no longer function properly.

Often psychosis antipsychotic drugs used to treat sometimes menstrual delay or it may cause infertility.  

The negative effect on fertility disappears approximately 2 months after you stop taking spironolactone. 

Illegal drugs such as marijuana and cocaine can affect fertility and make ovulation difficult.
