Laser Urinary Incontinence Treatment 

Laser urinary incontinence treatment can be applied to patients who experience urinary incontinence when laughing, coughing or lifting heavy objects. Satisfactory results can be obtained within a few minutes.

Urinary incontinence; It means involuntary urinary leakage. Stress incontinence means urinary incontinence in situations where intra-abdominal pressure increases, such as coughing or sneezing. Laser treatment gives very successful results in the treatment of mild to moderate stress incontinence. Damage to the urinary bladder and duct occurs with a difficult birth history, advanced age and menopause. Laser urinary incontinence treatment can be applied to patients who experience urinary incontinence when laughing, coughing or lifting heavy objects. 

Collagen production increases in the applied area with the light and heat provided by the laser. Thus, sagging in the bladder decreases and the strength of the support tissues increases.  Laser is effective in moderate and mild urinary incontinence and mixed type urinary incontinence. It gives successful results as supportive treatment in patients who have previously undergone urinary incontinence surgery but have not achieved sufficient treatment success. Recently, preventive sessions have been recommended for urinary incontinence at early ages. 

Its easy applicability as a treatment method, the ability of the person to continue their normal daily life at the same time, and the fact that it can be repeated by increasing the dose are the reasons for preference. There is no need for any incisions, stitches or painkillers. It is a procedure that takes approximately 15-20 minutes on the examination table. You can continue your normal daily life after the procedure. 

Usually 3 sessions are applied. The frequency and number of sessions are determined by the physician according to the patient's needs. A single annual session ensures that the treatment remains successful. 

 

How to Treat Urinary Incontinence with Laser? 

The process is the same vaginal tightening with laser It is done as in the treatment. The only difference is that the area scanned with the laser is the front wall of the vagina. The aim is to ensure collagen production, blood supply and renewal of the tissue by laser shots aimed at the bladder base and urethra neck adjacent to the anterior wall of the vagina. The entire process takes approximately 3 minutes on average. Depending on the treatment response, 2-3 sessions can be applied with an interval of 2 months.
